Today the 27th of July 2026, this is the day we have officially retired our home bred Mr Exclusive from Racing. Mitch has been one of Scott & Linda best home bred horse from the farm he has had lots of love from the stable especially from Luana, this was her favourite horse in the stable, Mitch was a girl’s horse as the boys could never catch him from the paddock.

The stable had high expectations of Mr Exclusive with his 1st ever run being at Caulfield in a Vobis Gold race on the 21st of April 2018 where he runs a great 4th from 15 starters picking his 1st pay cheque up of $15K.

Mitch didn’t take too long to win his maiden race on the 9th of September 2018 at Sale, Matthew had high hopes with this horse so his next 2 races were most likely the 2 biggest races of his carrier being a Group 3 at Caulfield and then onto the Caulfield Guineas ridden by Brian Higgins in October of 2018 where he run a tough 7th place picking up $40k for his efforts on the day.

After the spring racing campaign in 2018 Matthew decided to go back to his grades and try and pick up a few wins along the way, it didn’t take too long with his 2nd win coming in 2019 at Werribee on April 6th in a benchmark 64 also ridden by Brian Higgins.

It took Mitch just over 2 years to notch up his 3rd win after some injurys delays along the way, but what a win it was, Mitch winning at Metro level at Caulfield on 24th April 2021,

Career highlight
20th July 2024, Mr Exclusive’s standout moment came at Flemington — the home of the Melbourne Cup — where he delivered the stable its first-ever Flemington winner. That victory sits high in the hearts of owners and staff, with many tears from us all on the day. Over his career he ran 22 times at Flemington for 1 win and 7 placings — a testament to his toughness and consistency; he finished a number of narrow seconds and was often competitive in strong fields.

I just would like to thank all the owners along the way, that win at Flemington was very special to us all, not many horse go on and win over half a million dollars in their racing carrier, but he did, he was tough, he was a very special horse to us all and he now deserves his retirement.
